Recipe Demo’s

Many people find cooking from scratch daunting and lack the confidence to experiment. Our demo’s show how easy it can be to cook up something healthy and tasty.

Event Demo’s

We’re currently holding recipe demo’s for Barnet Council to promote their ‘Go Bean’ campaign. You’ll also find us at Food Banks in Barnet and Edmonton showing recipe ideas on how to avoid Food Waste – as funded by North London Waste Authority.

Our live demonstrations have been held at events such as ‘Shiny N U’ in Edmonton Green, ‘Family Fun Adventure Day’ at Mayesbrook Park & supporting the elderly during ‘Eldery Week’ in Barking & Dagenham. We also hold live demo’s for client groups such as the E.L.F team at Barking & Dagenham Council for adults with special needs and learning difficulties.

Brent Council commissioned us to produce a set of healthy recipe demo’s for Year 6 pupils to show them how easy it is for them to prepare themselves. This is one of the ways we’re helping to tackle childhood obesity in the borough.

With funding from Social Enterprise Fund we enrolled 15 north London youths (BAME, neets & care leavers) onto our Heritage Project. They were taught how to produce a youtube video and share their family favourite recipes. Between them they also produced 1,500 accompanying Recipe Meal Kits which fed 6,000 people over 6 months.

Live Zoom Demo’s

When the pandemic hit we had to adapt the way we worked and reached communities. Thus, our online Zoom classes were born. Thanks to funders London Community Fund and Trust for London we were able to deliver classes to isolated individuals and families.

Although we love to deliver classes in person, online Zoom sessions are perfect for the  housebound or for those people that find this a more convenient means to learn. We can accompany these sessions by delivering our Recipe Meal Kits so each recipient has all the ingredients they need.
